SAD PRETTY BOYS (New York)

Three young men are seated in chairs quietly weeping for the whole three hours. Post-card sized photos of each of the performers are set next to them which are available for the audience to take. The audience struggles with the questionable authenticity of the emotion put on display as the "BOYS" withstand the audience's gaze and become objects in the eyes of the viewer. The photographs cement this transformation while also allowing the "BOYS" to exist beyond the temporality of the performance.
